Mister Tom believes that Eddie and I protect the house during the day from roving bands of evil doers intent on stealing the upholstered furniture. He believes this because often times he will find us on<\/em> the upholstered furniture. He praises us for our constant vigilance. What he does not know is that we mostly snooze during the daytime when he is away. I decided to write a poem about finding the “perfect spot” to sleep.<\/p>\n

Much effort is expended,
\nFor the effect intended.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be it couch, bed, or floor,
\nNo space to ignore.<\/p>\n

To keep comfort in harmony,
\nI search quite purposefully.<\/p>\n

Warm days searching cool spots,
\nCool days warmth is sought.<\/p>\n

Sometimes sunshine on carpet,
\nOr on top of a blanket.<\/p>\n

‘Neath table or chair,
\nMy comfort to insure.<\/p>\n

Perfect spot once found,
\nSweet dreams are my crown.<\/p>\n
