Buster’s First Post

Hello all!

I am Buster J. Brown. In the picture I am the white-colored dog with brown spots. The other dog is Eddie. We live with our people companion Mister Tom. I came to live with Mister Tom through a dog rescue. Eddie came to live with us through a dog shelter.

My first post is a poem I wrote about how I came to live with Mister Tom. A little more than nine years ago I was a lost dog who was found in the woods of the deep south.

Enjoy.

THE FOUNDLING (Copyright 2013 by Buster J. Brown)

A homeless waif from woods deep South,
He found the hunters midst briars and moss.

Wild boar were their quarry,
Yet ‘neath thickets he waited somewhat wary.

A glimmer of hope and recognition,
These were people he found, not his imagination.

With sad looks and tail wags he drew them near,
All the while showing there was nothing to fear.

Once greeted and treated his mission accomplished,
A journey ahead to the North was his promise.

He had miles to travel, though somewhat ill,
To his home in the North, to [Somewhere]ville.

Once there he showed his true acumen,
Not just a dog, an obedience champion.
